How can I shrink my pores permanently?
I%26#039;ve noticed that since the weather has warmed up a bit, the pores on my face have become HUGE and EXTREMELY noticeable. How can I shrink them for good?|||Unfortunaly there is no way to remove your pores completely because this is what your skin is made up of.
Pores are either big or small depending on the type of skin you have.
An oily skin is more likey to have larger pores than a dry. This is because the oil is coming out of the pores.
Be careful not to strip this oil away completely as you will dry your skin out and your skin will only produce more oil to comensate for the oil you just removed. Avoid alcohol in products.
To reduce the size and and clogging (if you have) I suggest a facial peel. Dont worry, these are perfectly safe from your beauty therapist. A doctor can do a much deeper one, but I find the salon peel is effective enough. Also, you should discuss with your therapist, a home care and maintenance regime including cleanser, scrub and moisturiser. Pores are maintainence, they will always be there and will come back quickly if you are not careing for your skin properly at home.
Go get yourself a free skin analysis with your local Skin/Beauty Therapist to analyse and design a program to suit your individual needs.

Ihave tried several foundations, but they go over not in to my deep pores causing them to be even more noticable.|||I work at Sephora as a beauty educator. Is there anything I can do to permenately reduce my enlarged pores?
I read that microdermabrasion can swell the skin and make the pores look smaller temporarily, but I want a permenant solution. Does anyone know of anything like that?|||Biore makes a pore reducing cleanser, I%26#039;m not sure how permanent it is, but it works for me.|||There are two main factors that contribute to large pores: genetics and age. People who have skin that is naturally thick and oily tend to have larger pores. As people get older, too, sun damage and decreased skin elasticity can cause pores to dilate. The skin thickens, causing tiny cells to collect around the edge of the pores and make them look larger. Blackheads are also a big contributor to large pores. When the pore becomes clogged by dirt and bacteria, oil within the pore begins to accumulate, causing the pore鈥檚 diameter to expand.
At Home Methods You Can Do:
Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.
Bran and Grapefruit is also used to tightens large pores.
Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.
If enlarged pores are due to blackheads stretching the entrance of the pore, then firstly remove blackheads using one of the above methods, then to contract pores, blend (one or your preferred mixture) of camphor, sage and / or thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use as a compress or mix in with your moisturiser and apply to affected areas. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels (which may assist in reducing blackheads as sebum production is regulated).
For products you can use :
Biore blackhead removal and skin wash. You can also reduce that oil blockage by buying something with Retin A, or tretinoin.
You can also:
Wash your face twice a day with a pore-refining cleanser.
Eliminate processed foods, especially those containing trans-fatty acids. Instead choose %26quot;good%26quot; fat such as extra virgin olive oil. (Get the lowdown on the whole good fat/bad fat thing at iVillage Diet %26amp; Fitness.)
Eat lots of fresh fish, vegetables and fruit, especially cantaloupe and berries.
For makeup coverage, dot on a light, oil-free foundation. Apply it only where you need it -- the sides of the nose, forehead and chin, for example.
Use matte powder or blotting sheets on those shiny areas.|||I had a dream that I was looking int he mirror and my skin was dripping off and my pores were huge.

What are these white things sticking out of my nose pores and how to get rid of them??
They look almost like little hairs, but they aren%26#039;t, I can get a pair of tweezers and pull them right out, and a semi-wide hole will be left (the pore). But even if I pluck them out like that, or wet a cloth and kind of gently rub them off, they just come back. What ARE they (named)? I cannot find info on them online anywhere hardly. I also get them above my lip and on my chin too, but the worst concentration is on the sides of my nostrils. I hate them.... How do i get rid of oily skin and reduce pores?
I was just wondering if there is a solution to reducing oil and large pores.|||Try this and in this order (my wife does this and her skin is great):
1. Wash your face with Dove soap.
2. Use a facial scrub like St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub.
3. Use an astringent like Sea Breeze.
4. Instead of lotion use a froufrou moisturizer. My wife uses this stuff called Pamplemousse. It smells great.
If your heatlh coverage allows, you should also go see a dermatiolgist for the best answer. Good luck.|||to reduce oil, use facial wash on removing oil on faces. It can also reduce pores. Ice can reduce pores at a given time because skin will contract on cold substance or when it was rubbed on cold surface. Try using ice after washing face to close immediatley the pores. Well you can do this before sleeping because it will be wierd to do this on public right.|||Oily skin can be a difficult problem, especially if you are in your teen years.
Be careful about using products that strip away the oil of your skin -- things that dry like astringents and harsh face washes -- remember, the more oil you take out, your body is going to produce that much more and then some to make up for the loss.
In the morning after you shower, you should prep your skin while its wet and your pores are receptive. For large pores, try a pore refining toner -- I know neutrogena and avon both make one. After that, use a very mild moisturizer -- I suggest clinique%26#039;s dramatically different moisturizing lotion -- and only use a very small amount. After one to two weeks of moisturizing in the morning, it should help train your skin into producing less oil.
If you%26#039;re still having trouble, you can use a translucent face powder or baby powder to absorb the oil, or you can use those dabbing papers -- rice paper, or the oil absorbing sheets (biore, avon, and probably some others make those) on your problem areas.
And make sure to wash up before you go to bed, this will help keep your pores in check!
If you try this and you%26#039;re still having major oil, I%26#039;d suggest seeing a dermatologist -- they can prescribe you something, but it will probably be very drying, so it should be used minimally.

How to minimize the pores on my legs?
I have no body hair at all on my legs but the pores are quite visible, a few of them are red/pinkish in color. How do you shrink pores or get rid of blackheads?
What soaps/lotions actually work? What home remedies?|||Not even kidding, baking soda. Make sure you scrub good it clears up dead skin making your skin clearer. It is like 12 or 14 bucks cheaper then Clearasil. Just make sure you don%26#039;t leave any of it on,places like your nose around the sides and the holes. Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser
Biore Detoxify Exfoliator
Olay Oily/combo washcloths

Of course everyone is different and therefore you%26#039;ll have to experiment with different products and when you use them. I usually use of them once a day; cleanser every day and exfoliate twice a week. If any irritation occurs, you should cut down and use them less often or use less cleansers daily. What is a good cover up that will not clog pores?
My sister has moderate acne and I would like to get her body and facial care products for her birthday but I do not know what kind of cover up to get her. I know nothing about it but it needs to be good for her sensitive and acne prone skin that won%26#039;t clog her pores.

i%26#039;ve been using the Neutrogena Acne Fading Peel thing.. i guess its kind of like a mask you leave it for 10 minutes. and then you kinda massage it for 1 min and rinse away. and i feel its the cleanest, freshest feeling of my face i %26#039;ever felt.
since i have a mild acne problem i am wondering if there%26#039;s a product similar to that that would give me the same effect and that i can use Daily!|||I agree -- don%26#039;t use a daily mask. Use salicylic acid (BHA) to get rid of the pimples.
General acne care advice:
First -- stop using bar soap. The stuff that holds bar soap together (including clear bars) will clog your pores. Get a face cleanser that isn%26#039;t greasy. If it leaves a film on your face after rinsing with water, it%26#039;s too greasy.
Second -- Get a 1-2% BHA product. BHA is a chemical exfoliant, and it will dissolve the oil in your pores so that pimples don%26#039;t start. Apply in the morning. More info on BHA here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>
Third -- Either use pure tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide on areas prone to breakouts at night. Be careful with benzoyl peroxide as it will bleach clothes and hair.
Fourth -- don%26#039;t use a really greasy moisturizer/foundation, and make sure the bottle says %26quot;non-comedogenic%26quot;. This means it won%26#039;t clog your pores.
Finally, if you do all this for two weeks and it doesn%26#039;t get better, see a dermatologist.|||Most masks are too harsh for daily use. They can actually irritate the skin, causing further breakouts. Try a daily facial cleanser or cleansing wipe for daily use. They will keep your face clean without drying it out.|||Do not use a mask every day! It will over exfoliate your skin. Use a lotion that is a salyslic acid base to break down the bonds that hold dead skin to your face.|||each creme is different for your face
here is the natural way to get rid of acne:
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 1
Acne on oily skin can be kind of tough to fight. We need to get the amount of oil that is on your face reduced. So, the first thing that I want to share with you is a face wash that will reduce that oil. You only need the skin of a lemon and some warm water. Take the lemon skin and wash your face with it in the warm water. This will start getting rid of the oil that is on the skin. Let the lemon juice and water sit on your face for around 30 minutes and then rinse gently with warm water. You should start to notice that the oil will be cut down drastically.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 2
You need to drink a lot of water each day. Drink around 10-12 full glasses of water each day. Water will get rid of the toxins in the body that are causing the acne. Natural healing is all about getting to the root of the problem, and in this case, it is toxins in the body. The water also aids in the healing process that the skin is going through. You will notice a big difference when you start drinking plenty of water.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 3
Using toothpaste can reduce the swelling and redness of pimples. At night take some toothpaste and apply it to the affected areas. Let it stay there overnight. When you get up in the morning you should see a big different in the way your pimples look and how your skin feels.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 4
You need to look at what you are eating. Start eating more fruits and vegetables so that your body can get the necessary vitamins and minerals that it needs to fight off acne. Eat as much as you can each day because fruits and vegetables will help with your water intake and help your body heal faster.

since i have a mild acne problem i am wondering if there%26#039;s a product similar to that that would give me the same effect and that i can use Daily!|||I agree -- don%26#039;t use a daily mask.

How do I get rid of blackheads on my face as well as get my pores to look better afterwards?
I%26#039;ve always washed my face a lot and often use a lot of creams and gels that are supposed to combat blackheads but they don%26#039;t really do anything. Lately my nose especially has looked really bad with large pores due to blackheads.
What is the best way to get rid of facial blackheads?
And how do I allow my pores to close and look better/normal afterwards?|||Honestly, I have very sensitive skin and using products no matter if they say they are good for sensitive skin or not, usually make my skin worse than better, wether it be breakouts or dryness etc..
The best thing to do is use very warm water-this will open the pores and use a good sponge to clean the pores thoroughly and tea-trea oil is amazing for any skin problems-but will sting a little if used on broken skin but will not harm at all, it will make any cuts etc heal a lot faster and clean them of any dirt..The use cold water-as cld as you can handle -this will close your pores and pat your face dry-do not rub this will just irritate and cause any dirt from the towel back into your pores-so pat dry gently..It won%26#039;t have an nstant effect but it is the best way if you are finding that products don%26#039;t help. to do this you will need -
*make up remover
*cleanser
*toner
*facial scrub
*moisturiser

*q-tips (ear buds)
and a fairly large bowl of water.
every morning, apply some cleanser to your face using your fingers and rub your face all over, even your neck.

Between the ages of 12 and 20, most people go through puberty (YUCK) Here%26#039;s what%26#039;s happening to your skin. Before anyone starts puberty, they usually have very smooth beautiful skin. This is because a child鈥檚 skin cycle is about 10 days ( children grow an entire new set of skin every 10 days). That%26#039;s why they have a natural glow and require no make-up. As you get into puberty, your skin cycle slows down drastically to 28 day cycle. This sends your body into shock. It%26#039;s still producing oils for the faster 10 day cycle. This is why you get oily. Stress and emotional factors also cause you to break out. Once your hormones and oil production slow down to fit your new 28 day skin cycle, your skin will stop breaking out as much. The only thing you can really do during puberty is use non chemical products (little or no alcohol) that won%26#039;t irritated the skin, drinks lots of water, and treat the breakouts with aloe when they pop up. Aloe in you daily routine will help prevent many breakouts, but sometimes it just can%26#039;t be avoided.
If you are grown and experience oily skin, start looking at the products that you are using. The oiliness of your skin is attributed to hormones and genetics, however, most people who experience very oily skin often have the problem from using too many chemical products. Your skin may be oily because it has been stripped of it鈥檚 natural moisture. You want to avoid ANY over the counter acne treatment or products for oily skin. These products are alcohol based and will strip your skins natural oils away. At this point, you body kicks into overdrive. Thinking that your skin is too dry, because the natural oils are gone, your brain tells your body to make more oil. This of course causes your skin to become more oily, and the cycle never ends. The key to getting rid of oily skin is finding balance. Here鈥檚 what to do for oily skin:
1) Do not use over the counter acne product (no alcohol or Benzoil Peroxide)- They will dry your skin causing over-stimulation of the oil glands.
2) Look for products that are natural and contain High concentrations of aloe. It should be in the first 3 to 5 ingredients of any product you buy.
3) Start the following regimen:
*Cleanse with mild cleanser preferably aloe based.
*Tone (The purpose of a toner is to act as the %26quot;rinse cycle%26quot; for your face. Everyone should use toner after washing the face to remove any left over cleansers or dirt. Do not use a toner with alcohol in it. You can buy alcohol free toners or use witch hazel. It%26#039;s the perfect natural toner for most skin types.)
*Nourish - Drink Water, take vitamins%26amp; zinc, and apply topical vitamin C to your skin.
* Moisturize 鈥?There is a difference in Oil and Moisture, your skin needs moisture to be healthy, A good vitamin C cream will help kill bacteria too.
*Exfoliate 鈥?at least 2 times per week- no not let dead skin cells build up on the surface and clog your pores.
*Take a daily suppliment of Zinc,Calcium, and Magnesium.|||I have used the vitamin C peel kit from JAFRA. You use it once a week and it is gentle on your face. I have large pores also and use L%26#039;Oreal True Match, it does well throughout most of the day.

How do you get diminish or get rid of oil pores on your face?
What are the treatments?|||There are several treatments out there. For example, Biore has an entire Pore Minimizing line (but there are others). There are moisturizers that are made for oily skin - they help control the amount of oil your glands produce. There are also these little papers that soak up oil - you just dab your face, and it immediately is less oily.
Washing your face too much does not help - it makes it worse. Your skin produces oil to moisturize itself. If you wash too much, you keep stripping the moisture out of your skin - a signal to your glands to produce more oil. Washing twice a day is plenty.|||there is this type of lotion that makes your pores small... look it up on google|||if u wash your face 3x%26#039;s a day then ur face should look less oily
