How do i get rid of oily skin and reduce pores?

I was just wondering if there is a solution to reducing oil and large pores.|||Try this and in this order (my wife does this and her skin is great):

1. Wash your face with Dove soap.

2. Use a facial scrub like St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub.

3. Use an astringent like Sea Breeze.

4. Instead of lotion use a froufrou moisturizer. My wife uses this stuff called Pamplemousse. It smells great.

If your heatlh coverage allows, you should also go see a dermatiolgist for the best answer. Good luck.|||to reduce oil, use facial wash on removing oil on faces. It can also reduce pores. Ice can reduce pores at a given time because skin will contract on cold substance or when it was rubbed on cold surface. Try using ice after washing face to close immediatley the pores. Well you can do this before sleeping because it will be wierd to do this on public right.|||Oily skin can be a difficult problem, especially if you are in your teen years.

Be careful about using products that strip away the oil of your skin -- things that dry like astringents and harsh face washes -- remember, the more oil you take out, your body is going to produce that much more and then some to make up for the loss.

In the morning after you shower, you should prep your skin while its wet and your pores are receptive. For large pores, try a pore refining toner -- I know neutrogena and avon both make one. After that, use a very mild moisturizer -- I suggest clinique%26#039;s dramatically different moisturizing lotion -- and only use a very small amount. After one to two weeks of moisturizing in the morning, it should help train your skin into producing less oil.

If you%26#039;re still having trouble, you can use a translucent face powder or baby powder to absorb the oil, or you can use those dabbing papers -- rice paper, or the oil absorbing sheets (biore, avon, and probably some others make those) on your problem areas.

And make sure to wash up before you go to bed, this will help keep your pores in check!

If you try this and you%26#039;re still having major oil, I%26#039;d suggest seeing a dermatologist -- they can prescribe you something, but it will probably be very drying, so it should be used minimally.

Good luck!|||Oily Skin Treatment
