i use proactiv and ive seen an improvment, but not 100%. i still get little white bumps on my chin that are oh so fun to squeeze. i still have blackheads on my nose but i have freckles so they dont bother me as much. but i want flawless skin. is there anyway to get rid of these stupid bumps? even when i used retin a micro they were still there. |||If you have health insurance, your best solution might be to visit a dermatologist. He/she can recommend prescription medications that are certain to work better than over-the-counter treatments, since they%26#039;ll be tailored to act on your particular skin problems. This is what I currently use for my acne; my dermatologist prescribed a regimen of Tazorac, Duac, and minocycline. It works fantastically!
In addition to these, I use a tea tree oil toner from Bliss Soaps, a local company in Seattle. It%26#039;s available from www.blissoap.com. If you don%26#039;t want to mail-order your products, you could probably use any all-natural toner with a tea tree oil base. I cleanse my face with Cetaphil cleanser for sensitive skin. Be sure to use a gentle cleanser, since over-drying your face can cause your pores to tighten, trapping the blackheads inside. You also want to be sure to use a sunscreen during the day, since the medications increase the susceptibility of your skin to the sun. I use a Eucerin sunscreen/moisturizer with SPF 30. Any sunscreen marketed for facial use would probably work well.
Finally, I also use Biore pore strips occasionally; they can be useful for extracting clogs that are exposed at the surface of the skin.
Good luck!|||I saw the best results with medicated cream, it%26#039;s called Benzaclin. I got it to use on my acne, but it cleared my blackheads as well. The problem with %26quot;whiteheads%26quot; is that sometimes they come from the lotion you use to moisturize your face. %26quot; Whiteheads are form of acne and one of the greatest fears of the beauty - a build-up of oils, serum and dead skin that plugs up your pores.%26quot; that%26#039;s the answer I found on the internet. I found that exfoliating my face once or twice a week helps keep them at bay. Also I use the Johnson and Johnson cream cleanser and that helps my skin as well, but don%26#039;t use it too often as it will dry out your skin a bit. I usually live it on my skin for about 5 minutes. I use it on my face, my decolletage and my upper back if I see any signs of breakouts. I use that every day that I don%26#039;t use the Benzaclin.
Also if you do decide to go to your doctor and ask for the prescription but find out that it%26#039;s too expensive, go to TogetherRX.com and get their prescription discount card, it took off about 40% off.|||It might be overkill, but if you want acne completely gone, I%26#039;ve heard great things about ZenMed. I came across a website that has found a bunch of customer feedback about ZenMed. Your best bet is to at least check it out:

I was wondering does anyone know any product or face pack which is very effective to shrink those enlarged pores. Would be very helpful, if anyone please respnse. Thanks a lot.|||First of all wash your face only 2 times a day, that way you will not remove natural oil and your skin won%26#039;t compensate it. In the evening wash with warm water (15 splashes) and follow with cool water (15 splashes). Get Oil of Olay cleansing towelettes for oily skin type, it will help to remove excess oil and your pores will not clog.
Don%26#039;t use alcohol on your face.
In the morning wash your face with regular cleanser for oily skin type. And follow with moisturizer for oily skin types.
This should help your problem. When you follow this your pores will shrink a little. But they won%26#039;t go away forever as you have oily skin type and enlarged pores are typical for this type of skin.|||Go to the fridge and get an egg , seperate the yolk from the white, get the white and rub all over the place let it dry then wash off with mild soap and onley cold water. Is natural yougurt effective to reduce the appaerance of large pores/acne scars?
I am using natural yougurt to reduce the appearnce of my large pores. Eveyday for 20 mins.Has anyone done it and know if it works.|||Ive suffered with acne for 5 years now and a friend told me recently that eliminating dairy products from your diet can help get rid of acne. I thought id give it a try since i have nothing to loose considering all the MONEY and time i have spent on acne products and facials in the past.
It took about 3 weeks to see a noticeable difference and 4 weeks later the only remains on my face are a few scars which will heal over time. I stopped eating/drinking milk, cream, ice cream, cheese and basically anything with high milk contents. I still eat some yogurt a few times a week because i still want some calcium intake and yogurt is also very good for your intensinal flora. I will also buy some calcium tablets.
After all these years of medication, expensive facial treatments, laser treatment anything you name it, i have done it, i can finally say im free from acne. I have to say though that i was shocked because of all the research ive done and doctors ive been to, never ever mentioned anything about dairy products and how they may be a major cause of acne. I also did more research about why milk may be a huge factor in acne and it came up with because of the hormones in milk that are produced by a cow when the cow is pregnant. It all makes sense and
finally after all these years i have found the cure for acne.
Forget the products for now stop eating any dairy products and see if there is any difference.

What is the best way to deal with huge pores?
I mean, my nose can look like a strawberry... Otherwise I have awsome skin.|||Cleanse and rinse. Natural oils can build up beneath pores and cause bacteria to grow. Wash your face thoroughly but not aggressively. Use a mild cleanser that is meant for your skin type--dry, normal, oily or combination skin. Make sure to rinse skin completely to eliminate soapy residue.
Use a toner on your skin to diminish blemishes. Delicate rose water toners smell beautiful as well as do the job.
Exfoliate the dead skin cells. A gentle scrub with a grainy texture will remove dead skin which could clog pores. Exfoliating also allows other products to penetrate your skin more effectively.
Mask it. Apply a mask to your face to draw out dirt from deep within the pores. Don%26#039;t rub harshly or the skin could become damaged and develop further skin complications. Try mixing almond meal with water to make a natural mask and let it sit for approximately 20 minutes before rinsing.
Draw in pore size. Have a professional facial and/or extraction to minimize overall pore appearance. Eliminating blackheads can tighten pores and give the visible appearance of shrinking.

What is the best foundation to cover up large pores + black heads?
Anrgh, I really wanna start wearing makeup...But, I need foundation/tinted stuff/powder that%26#039;s good at covering up blackheads and large pores. Any suggestions?|||Mac is the best|||use face masks often to keep your pores clean and use bare minerals, if that is too expensive nuetrogena has the same stuff and use the shimmer stuff, just not to extreme|||clinique and mac have good coverage.

Between the ages of 12 and 20, most people go through puberty (YUCK) Here%26#039;s what%26#039;s happening to your skin. Before anyone starts puberty, they usually have very smooth beautiful skin. This is because a child鈥檚 skin cycle is about 10 days ( children grow an entire new set of skin every 10 days). That%26#039;s why they have a natural glow and require no make-up. As you get into puberty, your skin cycle slows down drastically to 28 day cycle. This sends your body into shock. It%26#039;s still producing oils for the faster 10 day cycle. This is why you get oily. Stress and emotional factors also cause you to break out. Once your hormones and oil production slow down to fit your new 28 day skin cycle, your skin will stop breaking out as much. The only thing you can really do during puberty is use non chemical products (little or no alcohol) that won%26#039;t irritated the skin, drinks lots of water, and treat the breakouts with aloe when they pop up. Aloe in you daily routine will help prevent many breakouts, but sometimes it just can%26#039;t be avoided.
If you are grown and experience oily skin, start looking at the products that you are using. The oiliness of your skin is attributed to hormones and genetics, however, most people who experience very oily skin often have the problem from using too many chemical products. Your skin may be oily because it has been stripped of it鈥檚 natural moisture. You want to avoid ANY over the counter acne treatment or products for oily skin. These products are alcohol based and will strip your skins natural oils away. At this point, you body kicks into overdrive. Thinking that your skin is too dry, because the natural oils are gone, your brain tells your body to make more oil. This of course causes your skin to become more oily, and the cycle never ends. The key to getting rid of oily skin is finding balance. Here鈥檚 what to do for oily skin:
1) Do not use over the counter acne product (no alcohol or Benzoil Peroxide)- They will dry your skin causing over-stimulation of the oil glands.
2) Look for products that are natural and contain High concentrations of aloe. It should be in the first 3 to 5 ingredients of any product you buy.
3) Start the following regimen:
*Cleanse with mild cleanser preferably aloe based.
*Tone (The purpose of a toner is to act as the %26quot;rinse cycle%26quot; for your face. Everyone should use toner after washing the face to remove any left over cleansers or dirt. Do not use a toner with alcohol in it. You can buy alcohol free toners or use witch hazel. It%26#039;s the perfect natural toner for most skin types.)
*Nourish - Drink Water, take vitamins%26amp; zinc, and apply topical vitamin C to your skin.
* Moisturize 鈥?There is a difference in Oil and Moisture, your skin needs moisture to be healthy, A good vitamin C cream will help kill bacteria too.
*Exfoliate 鈥?at least 2 times per week- no not let dead skin cells build up on the surface and clog your pores.
*Take a daily suppliment of Zinc,Calcium, and Magnesium.|||I have used the vitamin C peel kit from JAFRA. You use it once a week and it is gentle on your face. How do I get rid of blackheads on my face as well as get my pores to look better afterwards?
I%26#039;ve always washed my face a lot and often use a lot of creams and gels that are supposed to combat blackheads but they don%26#039;t really do anything. Lately my nose especially has looked really bad with large pores due to blackheads.
What is the best way to get rid of facial blackheads?
And how do I allow my pores to close and look better/normal afterwards?|||Honestly, I have very sensitive skin and using products no matter if they say they are good for sensitive skin or not, usually make my skin worse than better, wether it be breakouts or dryness etc..
The best thing to do is use very warm water-this will open the pores and use a good sponge to clean the pores thoroughly and tea-trea oil is amazing for any skin problems-but will sting a little if used on broken skin but will not harm at all, it will make any cuts etc heal a lot faster and clean them of any dirt..The use cold water-as cld as you can handle -this will close your pores and pat your face dry-do not rub this will just irritate and cause any dirt from the towel back into your pores-so pat dry gently..It won%26#039;t have an nstant effect but it is the best way if you are finding that products don%26#039;t help. The lack of effort and about a week at the most and you%26#039;ll be a happy munchkin :)
My faveourites for skin problems has to be using Unperfumed cat litter as a face mask-cheap and closes your pores very tight.Use some tea tree afterwards and also poridge oats mixed with water to make a paste-wash with that and stopa dry skin..sounds really odd but it honetly works wonders :)
Hope this was helpful|||Don%26#039;t over wash your face as your pores will then try to over compensate the loss of oil and make even more on your face, thus making the acne worse, only wash your face twice a day morning and at night before you go to bed. Buy a facial steam sauna/mask to help improve skin tone and will make it easier to eliminate blackheads, afterwards use a good face mask (I use one from Avon which is intended to specifically reduce pore size) and make sure you don%26#039;t mix creams/lotions together as this will make them less effective and you could get a nasty irritation. Good luck!|||start having a regular skin care routine.
the best thing to do is to basically give yourself facials.
to do this you will need -
*make up remover
*cleanser
*toner
*facial scrub
*moisturiser
*facial sponges or thick cotton wool
*q-tips (ear buds)
and a fairly large bowl of water.
every morning, apply some cleanser to your face using your fingers and rub your face all over, even your neck.
then wet the sponges/cotton wool and remove cleanser.
then apply the cleanser again and repeat the removal process. the first cleanse will open up your pores and the second one will remove any dirt from them.
then apply some toner to the cotton wool and rub all over your face. this closes your newly cleaned pores and stops anymore dirt getting in.
then apply a moisturiser all over your face. then you can apply your make up.
repeat this every morning and night before bed. at this time, apply some make up remover to a q-tip and gently rub the make up off your eyes. do not scrub hard as this can create wrinkles and thin the skin.
this can be your daily routine.
once a week, cleanse twice, tone, then apply exfoliant to your face. rub all over your face, scrubbing off all the dead skin. then apply toner to remove the srub.
then moisturise and continue as usual. this is your weekly facial.
all of this together with a balanced diet and plenty of protein (as your skin, hair and nails is made of keratin, which is a type of protein) your sking will be glowing in no time!|||i use knoxx, unflavored gelatine. what i do is, dissolve a tsp. of knoxx w/ warm water (small amount). then cut some onion paper into small pcs, about 2 x 2%26quot;. then put onion paper w/ the dissolved knoxx then, place it into your face. leave it till it dries completely.

*q-tips (ear buds)
and a fairly large bowl of water.
every morning, apply some cleanser to your face using your fingers and rub your face all over, even your neck.
then wet the sponges/cotton wool and remove cleanser.
then apply the cleanser again and repeat the removal process. the first cleanse will open up your pores and the second one will remove any dirt from them.
then apply some toner to the cotton wool and rub all over your face. this closes your newly cleaned pores and stops anymore dirt getting in.
then apply a moisturiser all over your face. then you can apply your make up.
repeat this every morning and night before bed. at this time, apply some make up remover to a q-tip and gently rub the make up off your eyes. do not scrub hard as this can create wrinkles and thin the skin.
this can be your daily routine.
once a week, cleanse twice, tone, then apply exfoliant to your face. rub all over your face, scrubbing off all the dead skin. then apply toner to remove the srub.
then moisturise and continue as usual. this is your weekly facial.
all of this together with a balanced diet and plenty of protein (as your skin, hair and nails is made of keratin, which is a type of protein) your sking will be glowing in no time!|||i use knoxx, unflavored gelatine. what i do is, dissolve a tsp. of knoxx w/ warm water (small amount). then cut some onion paper into small pcs, about 2 x 2%26quot;. then put onion paper w/ the dissolved knoxx then, place it into your face. leave it till it dries completely.
remove paper. wash your face w/ luke warm water, then w/ cod water to close the pores of your skin.|||Scientists at NY University College of Medicine have shown that Niacinamide is superior to antibiotics such as Clindamycin in controlling acne.

What is the functional connection between the nucleolus, nuclear pores, and the nuclear membrane?
a. Subunits of ribosomes are assembled in the nucleolus and pass through the nuclear membrane via the nuclear pores.
b. The nuclear pores are connections between the nuclear membrane and the endoplasmic reticulum that permit ribosomes to assemble on the surface of the ER.
c. The nucleolus contains messenger RNA (mRNA), which crosses the nuclear envelope through the nuclear pores. d. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane is produced in the nucleolus and leaves the nucleus through the nuclear pores.

Any ideas on how to get rid of clogged pores on your nose and chin areas?
I have cleared up the rest of my skin with retinae micro. but after 6 months, it isn%26#039;t doing anything to my pores on my nose or chin. any ideas on how to clear them up? i have been using pore strips on my nose. it does ok I guess, but nothing really noticeable.|||There are two things you can try. First, a hot flannel on your face, which will lift all the dirt out of pores, then an antiseptic like witch hazel over the affected areas with a cotton pad. Then, splash with cold water to seal the pores again. Or, alternatively, try an exfoliating scrub. I%26#039;d say exfoliate it yourself with a soft brush, but as the area is on your face, it%26#039;s not a good idea cos the skin%26#039;s so sensitive. What peel off face mask is best for cleaning pores? And where can i get it?
I am looking for one of those gel-like face masks you put on your face and leave for about 10-15 mins until they dry and you peel them off. How to keep pores clean with stage make-up?
I%26#039;m in a community theatre play and my pores are getting blocked even though I am using a good facial wash and toner morning and night and I use an exfoliator.
What do you guys do?|||Got to agree with the two posters just above me--don%26#039;t use community makeup, get your own. And if you%26#039;re using it every night, not much is going to help 100% except a few consecutive days off. Our skin isn%26#039;t meant to absorb that much unnatural goo.
That said, a couple things help me:
1) Use baby wipes as your first method of removal. Facial wash afterwards.
2) Moisturize with a good water-based (not oil-based)moisturizer. You get what you pay for with this stuff, so don%26#039;t skimp. I like Clinique Dramatically Different gel. You have to get it at a dept store makeup counter, and it costs about $20 a bottle. It seems counterintuitive to moisturize when you%26#039;re breaking out, but a professional makeup lady once explained to me that if your skin lacks moisture, it absorbs a LOT more makeup in order to get that moisture back. So, if you moisturize before applying your makeup, you put a protective layer of that good stuff on and less of the icky makeup sinks in.
3) Those Biore pore cleansing strips work great. Wet them, stick them on your nose or forehead or wherever, let dry, then peel off. The dirt and stuff will pull right out of your pores and stick to the strip...gross but kinda fascinating!
4) Finally, think about whether you REALLY have to use stage makeup, or whether you can substitute some heavy-duty street makeup (still lighter than stage makeup) in some ways. I have really sensitive skin, and when I was doing rep, I was breaking out so much that I finally had to give up my trusty Ben Nye foundation and start using a good-quality department store base. I still used stage highlight, shadow, and a few other things, but not having that thick mask on underneath really helped. I found that as long as I powdered really well, I didn%26#039;t have a melting problem. And I had my makeup designer help me with getting the shade right under the stage lights--I went a shade or two darker than what I would wear in real life.|||The only thing you can do is to wash it completely and do not go home from a cast party so tired that you fall asleep in your stage make-up. Stage make-up is VERY different from regular make-up and any chance you get, pamper your skin with a facial (after a weekend run and you don%26#039;t have to get back in make-up for a couple of days)|||Did you try using a peel? Maybe that would help.|||If you%26#039;re using %26quot;community%26quot; make-up, that could be the problem. Often community theatres use the same make-up for years with everyone sharing the same product.
I%26#039;d invest in quality make-up for your use only %26amp; learn to apply it yourself. MAC has a great line that is strong enough for stage, but gentle enough on your skin.
Also, use a gentle water based moisturizer before applying make-up. It keeps your skin from drying %26amp; it makes it easier to remove.

You just wash it off completely and let your face breathe all night. If you can avoid wearing makeup the next day until call time that would be helpful too. I%26#039;ve used a number of things to take off that makeup and I still break out. It doesn%26#039;t really matter what you use so use whatever has worked best for you. General acne care advice:
First -- stop using bar soap. The stuff that holds bar soap together (including clear bars) will clog your pores. Get a face cleanser that isn%26#039;t greasy. If it leaves a film on your face after rinsing with water, it%26#039;s too greasy.

Fourth -- don%26#039;t use a really greasy moisturizer/foundation, and make sure the bottle says %26quot;non-comedogenic%26quot;. This means it won%26#039;t clog your pores.

here is the natural way to get rid of acne:
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 1
Acne on oily skin can be kind of tough to fight. We need to get the amount of oil that is on your face reduced. So, the first thing that I want to share with you is a face wash that will reduce that oil. You only need the skin of a lemon and some warm water. Take the lemon skin and wash your face with it in the warm water. This will start getting rid of the oil that is on the skin. Let the lemon juice and water sit on your face for around 30 minutes and then rinse gently with warm water. You should start to notice that the oil will be cut down drastically.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 2
You need to drink a lot of water each day. Drink around 10-12 full glasses of water each day. Water will get rid of the toxins in the body that are causing the acne. Natural healing is all about getting to the root of the problem, and in this case, it is toxins in the body. The water also aids in the healing process that the skin is going through. You will notice a big difference when you start drinking plenty of water.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 3
Using toothpaste can reduce the swelling and redness of pimples. At night take some toothpaste and apply it to the affected areas. Let it stay there overnight. When you get up in the morning you should see a big different in the way your pimples look and how your skin feels.
Get Rid of Acne 鈥?Tip 4
You need to look at what you are eating. Start eating more fruits and vegetables so that your body can get the necessary vitamins and minerals that it needs to fight off acne. Eat as much as you can each day because fruits and vegetables will help with your water intake and help your body heal faster.

i%26#039;ve been using the Neutrogena Acne Fading Peel thing.. i guess its kind of like a mask you leave it for 10 minutes. and then you kinda massage it for 1 min and rinse away. and i feel its the cleanest, freshest feeling of my face i %26#039;ever felt.
since i have a mild acne problem i am wondering if there%26#039;s a product similar to that that would give me the same effect and that i can use Daily!|||I agree -- don%26#039;t use a daily mask. Use salicylic acid (BHA) to get rid of the pimples.
General acne care advice:
First -- stop using bar soap. The stuff that holds bar soap together (including clear bars) will clog your pores. Get a face cleanser that isn%26#039;t greasy. If it leaves a film on your face after rinsing with water, it%26#039;s too greasy.
Second -- Get a 1-2% BHA product. BHA is a chemical exfoliant, and it will dissolve the oil in your pores so that pimples don%26#039;t start. Apply in the morning. More info on BHA here: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article鈥?/a>
Third -- Either use pure tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide on areas prone to breakouts at night. Be careful with benzoyl peroxide as it will bleach clothes and hair.
Fourth -- don%26#039;t use a really greasy moisturizer/foundation, and make sure the bottle says %26quot;non-comedogenic%26quot;. This means it won%26#039;t clog your pores.
Finally, if you do all this for two weeks and it doesn%26#039;t get better, see a dermatologist.|||Most masks are too harsh for daily use. They can actually irritate the skin, causing further breakouts. Try a daily facial cleanser or cleansing wipe for daily use. They will keep your face clean without drying it out.|||Do not use a mask every day! It will over exfoliate your skin. Use a lotion that is a salyslic acid base to break down the bonds that hold dead skin to your face.|||each creme is different for your face
here is the natural way to get rid of acne:
Does anyone know of a home recipe that gets rid of blackheads and/or clogged pores?
i have pores on my face and i want to know how to get rid of them!!!! please help. i do not trust cosmetics and i was wondering if someone knows a home recipe i can try at home?|||Cleanse your face with unboiled milk, gently rub a coarse cloth dipped in milk to remove the blackheads. Steam your face with herbs like lavender, lemon peel and mint leaves added to the water and let the skin soak up its goodness. Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.|||I use milk or magnesia too leave it on your face 4 about 5Min%26#039;s then after it drys o your face ,use warm water and wash it off .But make sure its washed off good cause then it will leave white spots on your face ,but no worries you could wash it off still.|||crush up a couple plain asprin. mix it with water or chalomine lotion so that it is still sort of lumpy and not too watery. apply it to your face and leave it on for approx. 30 minutes. rinse with warm water. your pores will look and feel tighter immediately!|||milk of magnesia works wonders
How can I reduce the size of my pores?
I spend a lot of time going in and out of the heat for work, ( I live in Phoenix, Az so its 110-115 daily) By the time I get home my face is sweaty and my pores look huge. My skin is clear of blemishes, but how do I minimize the size of my pores, preferably an at home treatment thanks.|||Ah ok well my mother had the same problem as you, and let me tell you what she did to make it stop, this is a home treatment of course, the only thing you may need to buy is a lemon if you dont already have some in the fridge, what you want to do is get some lemon and squeez that sucker into a tiny bit of honey, and mix that all together, put that into the area where you want treated and wait 5-10 mins and than wash off, the lemon works great as a toner and as we all know toners are great for tighthing the skin and even better for your pores to look smaller, the honey helps as an evener, it will even out the uneven skin tone and also sooths the skin, Well I hope this helps %26lt;3 good luck|||sounds awful
I would suggest bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar
the clay is sold in a container and you mix it with enough ACV to make a paste. The make will feel liek its pulsating when it is dry. It pulls out any impurities and tightens
but to normalize the size of you pores you should go to a dermatologist and ask for Differin. It treats acne by way of normalizing pores to reduce inflammtion to decrease sebum production. This should help over time. Also make sure to use a Dr. appoved sunscreen and if possible wear a hat with a visor.
Good Luck|||I%26#039;m afraid that the size of pores are essentially inherited and there is nothing much to be done about it. However, some home remedies include putting an ice cube on the pores, which will shrink them temporarily. There are also products that you can buy that claim to shrink pores. The sad part is that most will only reduce pores for a short time, but I would try them anyway.|||Dermatologists say you cannot reduce the SIZE of your pores, but you can reduce the appearence of your pores with astringent...
Hope this helps...|||apply egg albumin for 15 min and then wash off with cold water.ur pore size will decrease.use every week

What are some good home remedies for large pores?
My pores aren%26#039;t super large but they could use some tightening. Any ideas that can easily be done at home or some cheap products that won%26#039;t set me back to far.|||*Spread plain yogurt over your face, wait 20 min, then wash off with luke warm water
*Using a cotton ball, apply vodka to your face as an astringent to cleanse and tighten pores (take a few sips as you go if you wish, haha)
*Mix 3 tbsp honey, 1/2 cup evaporated milk, and 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar. Add enough flour to make a very thick paste. Apply to face as a mask and let dry. Use any essential oil - olive is excellent as is almond which can be used on any skin and is particularly suitable for acne prone and oily skins as it lessens skin%26#039;s production of oil. Massage over and over. For fastest results make massage quite vigorous. First, tighten skin by opening mouth about 1%26quot; and pulling lips back firmly against teeth. I have blotchy skin, black heads and big pores and occasionally some pimples. How can I make my skin clear?
I want clearer skin. I used to have lots of pimples but i got them away and i am left with some of the old scars and blotchy, blackheaded skin.
Does anyone have any tips to make my skin clearer and nicer?|||if you can afford it, go see a dermatologist. It has helped me so much!! prescription products also work way better than over-the-counter. I love Retin-A Micro, a prescription product that exfoliates skin and helps get rid of blackheads. I think I owe my clear skin to Retin-A!
Also, try the Clinique 3- Step system. Expensive, but worth it. The products last a long time, so you get plenty of bang for your buck. It makes my skin amazingly soft and glowing. You can get it at Nordstrom, Sephora, Macy%26#039;s, but I get it at Clinique.com, where I usually snag free shipping and there is the most product selection.|||If you have had moderate to severe acne you may have some scars that are still visible. These scars can be classified as raised (above the skin), or pitted (below the skin). The bumps from raised scars are often treated with microdermabrasion, dermabrasion, chemical peels or lasers.
There is also help for the very worse of the scars left from acne, the very deep pitted ones. These deep scars can often be lessened with the help of injectables like Hylaform, Restylane, Cosmoderm or Cosmoplast. These plump up the contour irregularities which gives the skin a more uniform appearance. You must see a physician to utilize this treatment.
There is also a new type of laser known as Fraxel which recently got FDA approval for the treatment of scars caused by acne. This laser makes tiny microscopic tears in the skin which remove damaged skin and induce new collagen production to smooth out the skin. Fraxel treatment is known to be just as effective as the CO2 laser (another treatment method for scars from acne and wrinkles which is known for effective results), without the downtime. It is said that if you make your Fraxel laser treatment appointment for Friday, your skin will most likely be ready for work on Monday.
Common side effects are redness and swelling. This treatment has a generally positive reputation and some regard it as a %26quot;breakthrough%26quot; method of treating acne scars. Advocates say that it gives you ablative (invasive) laser level results with non-ablative level recovery. Most describe the pain level as well-tolerated, however, it does not seem like this procedure would be good for somebody with a low threshold for pain or discomfort. To minimize pain find a doctor who uses a %26quot;cool air spray%26quot; during the procedure. Some report dramatic results after one treatment although usually it will take 4 to 5. The average price of Fraxel laser treatments is between $1,000 to $1,200 per treatment (although most doctors offer treatment bundle discounts, such as 4 treatments for $3,000).
As for your blotchy skin, you can use Glyquin XM Skin bleaching cream among her favorite skin products. It fades hyperpigmentation (areas of the face that are a darker color than the rest of your skin). It hydrates skin, contains an SPF, and also includes vitamin C, E, and glycolic acid. I have included the URL to this product. It%26#039;s big celebrity secret. How do I know? Because I%26#039;m a make-up artist in this industry. =)

What is the best way to clean the pores on my nose?
I%26#039;ve been pinching my nose with my fingernails but that is not working out. Does squeezing pores on and around your nose make it grow?
I%26#039;ve heard that playing with your nose and the area around it can agitate it to grow. Am I just being retarded? I%26#039;m a huge fan of squeezing out the oil and wax around my nose cause of a T-zone. Am I encouraging my nose to grow. I know that over time it will, but you know...any thoughts? I%26#039;d love ot hear that I%26#039;m being retarded, phobic even.|||um, no but you are clogging your pores by squeezing them with your fingers. you area also breaking your capillaries... causing permanent red lines around your nose.. if you look really close around your nostrils you will probably see all your broken capillaries.|||Don%26#039;t pick your nose. How can i minimize the size of my pores?
Not just the appearance of the size, but actually make them smaller, is that possible?|||you can try biore, and the is a triple action product that you can get and it works really good, it helps with cleanses, tightens and clears! good luck!|||It%26#039;s not actually possible to make the actual size smaller however you can always reduce the look of the actual pore size. Sometimes when we don%26#039;t exfoliate our skin dead skin cells get trapped in our pore and make them appear larger than what they really are. I have two suggestions 1. exfoliate with baking soda every two days. I do this. It%26#039;s cheap and it really works. Just add a small-medium amount of baking soda with your morning cleanser, make sure your cleanser is a gentle one, scrub your face in a circular motion for about 2-3 minutes, rinse. 2. Try Clinique %26#039;Pore Minimizer%26#039; Refining Lotion This works fabulous together. You have two treatments in one if you use them together. Google online reviews, this actually does work
Also you can use an egg white mask twice a week to tighten your pores.|||Lemon Juice is a great all natural pore toner and brightener.
Baking soda also works well when mixed with castile soap and used as a mock facial scrub.
Organic sugar is particularly effective. Sugar alcohols reduce redness, inflammations, pore size, and dullness.
U Big Pore Baby System by B4A is also really effective. It is all natural and uses a combination of the natural remedies above, plus essential oils.
You may consider adding Evening Primrose Oil to your daily supplements. It leaves the skin soft and silky once in the system and it purifies the pores, so the debris is removed and the pores are smaller.

Witchazel, apple cider vinegar or an egg mask may help as well.|||i still have this prob as well. i heard that having a steaming shower helps the pores minimize but it hasnt helped for me. I have started using this dead sea salt face lotion and i would put it on all over my face and the next morning they would get smaller. So i think this helps. If u r interested let me know and ill find the link to where i got it..(it was acuatlly a christmas gift..but ill try and find it:)|||Apply fuller%26#039;s earth mixed with rose water and sandalwood paste (pure).Remain for 20 minutes and wash it off with warm water .

This will minimize the pores .
How sould i reduce my pimples and big pores naturally or by using home remedies?
apple cider vinegar
I loveeee it
Mix it with a little bit of water tho, and place it in a bottle, and then replace it about every three days with your toner. (if you use it. If not then whatever, use this stuff LIKE a toner)
Also, every three days, exfoliate with baking soda.
=D
Works for me!
Also, do not eat vegetable oil.
I hate diets made to get rid of acne, but I have seen a major improvement by skipping it.
good luck =)|||Separate an egg and use just the egg white on your face. Spread the egg white on your face, and let it dry. When it dries, it will make your face feel very very tight. This will reduce your pores naturally. Then wash it off really well with a good anti-acne soap, then use a gentle moisturizer.
Cheers|||Bypass the home remedies and go to the local pharmacy. They should have many acne treatments available.

What can I do about my blackheads and pores?
I have giant blackheads and pores. I would like to know what i could try to rid myself of my black heads, and how to possibly shrink my pores.|||use hot water on your face to open the pores then get a good facial scrub to clean them out use moisturizer to replenish moisture. then use cold water to close pores back up again|||1. Stop wearing makeup (if you%26#039;re a girl)
2. DO NOT OVER-WASH-- over-washing (more than 2 or at most 3 times a day) causes your skin to up its production of sebacious oil. This is the stuff that clogs your pores, causing acne and blackheads.
3. Acutaine totally cures acne (for good, and it won%26#039;t come back) (and this includes getting rid of blackheads and shrinking pores). It%26#039;s really severe on your body though-- it totally tries out your skin and lips, and it has been linked to depression and suicide in teens.
4.MOST IMPORTANT: GET A FACIAL!!! I don%26#039;t know what your financial limits are, but even if you%26#039;re strapped for cash, you should consider this. Acne products, even over-the-counter items, tend to be really expensive, so you might as well try something that will work. A lot of women i know (especially fancy/rich women) swear by weekly or bi-monthly facials. I think that this is unnecessary and maybe even bad for your skin, since the aesthetician basically is picking your pimples. When your acne is reduced, you should just let it be and allow puperty and adolescence to run their course.
BUT, in your case, where you have lots of big blackheads, it%26#039;s important to remove the blackheads so your pores can shrink back down. Plus, they%26#039;re unsightly and grotesque, so you want to remove them.
Like many men, my dad has (had) HUGE blackheads on his back. He believed that if you removed them, they would come back worse, because you%26#039;d be stretching out the pores. It%26#039;s the opposite: he finally allowed me to remove his blackheads, and after 2 or 3 tries, his back is almost totally clear. (gross, i know, but it helps).
So research who you go to. Get a few recommendations-- never go to anyone without a recommendation! And if you do this 1-3 times, you should at least reduce the size and number of your blackheads.
As for the pores: Pores can APPEAR larger when they%26#039;re clogged (blackheads) but if your pores are clean and just visible, that probably means that you just have large pores. There%26#039;s not much that can be done about that (it%26#039;s just the way your skin is) but cleaning out your skin will make your pores much less visible.
EDIT: OH and DO NOT buy any products from your doctor. Unless he%26#039;s selling a real drug, like antibiotics or accutaine, dermatologists usually try to sell you REGULAR CREAMS AND LOTIONS at hugely inflated prices. They get away with it because they put a label on that says %26quot;Dr. So and So%26#039;s Special Creams.%26quot; In fact, i once bought a fantastic %26#039;DCL ultra-light hydrater%26#039; (moisturizing lotion that%26#039;s so light) from my dermatologist%26#039;s office (with his name on the label) for $30; i later found THE VERY SAME LOTION (sans his name) online for $3.50 a bottle. Same with all those astringents that they would sell you: alcohol is alcohol; salycillic acid is salycillic acid. That%26#039;s how they make their money, so don%26#039;t be ripped off. If you DO go to your doctor, ask him which INGREDIENTS you should look for, and then buy those ingredients in a drug-store brand of cream/wash/astringent.
GOOD LUCK!|||There are some ways for blackhead removal:
* Use a facial steamer to steam your face for a few minutes. This helps you to open up facial pores, and expose the blackheads. Pat your face dry. Then, use a blackhead remover to remove blackheads. Place the hole of the remover over a blackhead, and gently press down. This will apply the pressure from underneath the blackhead, and pop it up. Then use an alcohol pad to clean it up to avoid infection. Avoid harsh squeezing or scraping at the blackhead. Excessive squeezing can damage the skin surround the pore and can actually increase the size of the pore, leading to more blackheads in the future.
* You can also use a pore strip. The adhesive action of pore strips can actually rip blackheads out of your face. Since most strips are medicated, this will ensure you don鈥檛 get an infection from the rather rough extraction. Use a facial steamer to steam your face first, and pat it dry. Then, just apply the strip to the blemished area, wait the prescribed amount of time instructed by the user manual, and rip the strip off, taking the blackhead with it.|||Keep your face clean. Wash with a cleanser specifically for oily skin at least once a day. Sometimes over washing can cause more oils to build.
I highly recommend using a system such as Origins or Arbonne. Both have product lines designed large pores and oily skin (oily skin will lead to blackheads and clogged pores). Both companies have cleansers, toners, moisturizers and clay masks. They are a little more expensive, but they last a long time and I%26#039;ve had incredible success with both companies. My skin was terrible and now it%26#039;s nearly flawless. Origins is available online, but if you go to a mall, they will give you a free consultation and facial to determine the right products for you. Arbonne is available online or through consultants.
Whatever products you choose, make sure you don%26#039;t let your skin become to dry. This will tell your face to make more oils, thereby clogging your pores even more.|||What you could use is Clean %26amp; Clear or Neutrogena to help you shrink the black heads and they will disappear. You can find them at Walmart,Walgreen%26#039;s,CVS pharmacy, but if you go to Walmart its a lot cheaper. Both helps out really really really well i use both and my face is clear as can be and soft. Hope I helped :)|||Get thoose sticky things you put on your face and rip off.
I always wanted to try that, but i do not have blackheads.

That%26#039;s what I did and now i have really smooth skin|||blackheads are oxidated whiteheads, meaning exposed to air. use benzoyl peroxide to bleach them and dry them out. avoid triclosan, deodorant and antibacterial soaps as this will dry out your face. try clearasil, the acne products on the market have retinols.glycolic acids which are weak exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide even generic works at walmart, depends what strength you buy, think it comes in 10% or salcylic acid another drying agent. for severe or cystic acne, Rx strength products are worth it like Retin A or antibiotics from a doc, Retin A peels like a sunburn for the first 1-2 wks, just keep using it and have beautiful skin. Dove soap is best for skin cleansing and makeup removal. toners are temporary and can be drying, wash hands, if you clear up the other acne problems, most likely, the pores will appear to shrink up and have overall better skin tone. avoid liquid makeups, brewing ground for bacteria as soon as you open them. wash hands, avoid picking, being a teenager is part of acne, some are luckier than others. I wasn%26#039;t, but stayed ahead of the game with oral antibiotics, retin, which i still use after 20 yrs. I remember when it was a liquid form. What's the secret to getting great skin? My legs always show all thier pores. How do you get them smooth/soft?
I mean the skin on my body. I have problems with my face, too, but I use Pro-Active. How do I get my arms, legs, and torso to be smooth and soft? I%26#039;ve used aveeno exfoliaters, and Dove moisturizer/exfoliater combined. Neither really helped.|||Mix about 1/2 cup ordinary white granulated sugar with enough olive oil to make a sort of paste. Scrub with this in the shower, rinse with hot water, and when you get out, PAT your skin dry with a towel. You%26#039;ll have the softest, smoothest skin ever. Be careful, though--this tends to make the shower kinda slippery.
You can use powdered sugar if the granulated kind is too rough. I%26#039;ve tried this with coconut oil, and camellia oil too, but olive is still my favorite. What can I do to get Bare Escentuals mineral makeup to cover my large pores?
I love the BE makeup but find it does little to minimize/conceal my large pores. I use their moisturizer, and dust with mineral veil before applying foundation. I have tried the kabuki and regular brushes with very little change. Is there anything you can suggest to cover up the pores?|||Primer is a big help. Moisturize, prime, and put foundation on. Primer is made especially to solve these problems and more.|||Try Revlon colorstay. Really great coverage for scars and redness. (Assuming you have hyperpigmentation). OILY SKIN
ACNE
FACIAL LIGHTENING
DEALING WITH ACNE SCARRING
DEALING WITH STRETCH MARKS
IMPROVING SKIN TONE
PIMPLES
BLACKHEADS
EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT
INGROWING HAIRS
BODY ACNE
鈥HE INFO鈥橲 BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE. I鈥橫 36 NOW SO I鈥橵E HAD TO DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE A WHILE AND THOUGH MUCH OF THIS ANSWER MAY BE IRRELEVANT, I HOPE THERE%26#039;LL BE SOMETHING THAT CAN HELP YOU!
GOOD LUCK!!!
RECOMMENDED SKIN CARE鈥 use clean and clear cream wash (good for sensitive skin or those that dry to easy) or Neutrogena clear skin make up remover wash. Both contain salicylic acid which prevents breakouts and gradually evens the skin tone out too. This is the most important thing you can do. I鈥檝e tried various 鈥榦il free鈥?鈥檚alicylic acid鈥?moisturisers but the best I鈥檝e found is the clean and clear on鈥 found the Neutrogena one actually seemed to aggravate my skin.
EMERGENCY SPOT TREATMENT!...The toothpaste things works! Put on a blob at night and put a bit of tissue over it so it doesn%26#039;t make a mess. It cools the area down and reduces the inflammation. I also recommend the clean and clear advantage spot treatment gel.
HORMONAL SPOTS鈥ny female with spots I%26#039;d recommend trying dianette or yasmine contraceptive pills because if it%26#039;s hormonal that can sort everything out within weeks鈥hough it can take a couple of months to get used to the pill.
FACIAL ACNE: AVOID鈥on%26#039;t use harsh scrubs and peroxide products daily like some people do; that can dry your skin and make produce MORE oil...just exacerbating the problem. Many face packs I鈥檝e tried and those blackhead removal strips too seem to have caused problems.
I鈥檝e also had problems with those 鈥榝acial wipes鈥?made by clean and clear and Neutrogena because they鈥檙e too drying and when the top layer鈥檚 too dry, the oil gets stuck underneath and causes more problems!
Some say chocolate doesn鈥檛 affect it鈥t does for me and I don鈥檛 know how or why that should be but certain foods do seem to affect break out. Coffee is one of those things that seems to aggravate my skin too. So look out for anything you eat that might be making it worse.
HAIR PRODUCTS鈥e careful what products you use in your hair if it%26#039;s long - certain conditioners have causes me to break out at times. Also be careful of hair gels, hair sprays and serums.
INGROWING HAIRS鈥or men or women鈥f you have oily skin, these are more likely. For men鈥se a facial scrub and avoid moisturisers that don鈥檛 have salicylic acid in them if you use a moisturiser. Some hair conditioners are much better lubricants than shaving cream too 鈥?so you might want to try that, and then was afterwards with a clean and clear was etc. Also I recommend the microdermabrasion kit mentioned later.
For women鈥axing seems to cause the main problem 鈥?we pay most attention to our faces. Waxing seems to be the main culprit as opposed to shaving or hair removal creams鈥o avoid in-growing hairs, make sure to exfoliate. I recommend using those exfoliating gloves 鈥?that way, you can use any kind of shower gel.
NUTRITION鈥 recommend taking a 100% multi vitamin/mineral complex 鈥?those little spots you get around your mouth can be due to a vitamin b deficiency for example. Also I recommend Omega 369 oils every day because they improve blood flow.
OLD WIVES TALE??...It%26#039;s an %26#039;old wives tale%26#039; type remedy - but a spoonful of cider vinegar and honey in hot water 3 times a day is meant to help EVERYTHING. It tastes nice too...kinda like honey and lemon X
HYDRATION鈥?Keep your hydration right by drinking plenty of water, avoiding caffeine and alcohol and too much salt!
DEALING WITH SCARRING鈥here鈥檚 an excellent micro-dermabrasion scrub called 鈥榬e-finish鈥? by L%26#039;oreal. You only use it a couple of times a week (and use at night because it makes your face red!). It really works not just with the colouring but also the texture - smoothes it back out. It comes with it%26#039;s own moisturiser which I don%26#039;t use but I use the scrub at night a couple of times a week and put bio oil on which it supposed to help clear scarring and even skin tone.
If you get your skin relatively under control, try using %26#039;21 days Fade Cream%26#039; (which I get from eBay) because it quickly clears up any scarring. It鈥檚 a skin lightening cream and is very effective as long as your skin type agrees with it. Bio oil is a good alternative!
Also, to detract from the colour variations in your skin tone, I recommend using Benefit鈥檚 Posie Tint or Benetint lipstain 鈥?this can be put on your cheeks and lips (which also makes your teeth look whiter as an added bonus). Lipstain is better than lipstick because it doesn鈥檛 smudge and it stays on; you can put lip balm or lip gloss on over it. Also, if you use it (SPARINGLY) on your cheeks, it is just like putting water on there; it doesn鈥檛 aggravate the skin or cause breakouts.
LI|||A proper skincare routine is essential if you want healthy, glowing skin with minimal pores and blackheads. I know that I myself am extremely lazy and often neglect my skin. :P But in the long run, you won%26#039;t regret taking these extra steps every day. I%26#039;ve written up a solution to this on my blog, I%26#039;ve just taken out some products and techniques that may help you. :)
1- Remove makeup. ALWAYS always remove all makeup at the end of the day.
2- Cleanse. This is an important step and should be done daily.
3- Exfoliate. Do this only 2-3 times a week; using it more often can be too harsh your skin. This is similar to a cleanser but contains abrasive sandy bits that unclog pores. The best I%26#039;ve used is St Ives Apricot Scrub.
4- Toner. After getting out of the shower, your pores should be enlarged because of the heat. You need to tighten your pores again to prevent fresh dirt from entering and forming more blackheads. Toner tightens pores, restores your skin%26#039;s natural pH and prepares your skin to accept moisture. Apply toner over your face and neck with a cotton pad. Alternatively cold water can help tighten pores, so you can use a cold wet towel instead.
5- Moisturise. After your toner dries, apply moisturiser!
7- Mask. A facial mask helps tighten your skin and pores and keeps it healthy. I know you%26#039;re supposed to do this once a week, but I really can%26#039;t remember the last time I%26#039;ve done one, must%26#039;ve been months. x]
